It’s easy to be intimidated by IOD Paint Inlays. however, they’re easier than they appear and can transform everything from small home décor to full furniture pieces.

Simply spritz the inlay with water, press it paint side down into a medium coat of wet paint or a top coat, and let it dry. I’ve actually experimented with decoupage medium and was successful with the results. Once the paint inlay is dry, spritz it again with water and gently peel off the backing to reveal a beautiful, hand-painted effect. Peeling off the inlay is often described as “satisfying.”

I used paint inlays for the first time on an old apple basket and instantly fell in love!
