Vintage jar, white glass, with screw top. On the lid: “AUNTIE PAYNE” “THE MEDICINE CABINET” IN A JAR. The Standard Medical Company, Lansford, Pa. Around the lib: Est. 1906 Fast Relief Muscular Aches-Pains-Colds. On the front of the Jar: Williams’ Anti-Pahn Ointment Trade Mark Anti-Pahn. Approx. net weight three ounces, for external use only. T is a facsimile signature of D.D. Williams. Directions for Children: Dilute with equal parts of cold cream or vaseline before using. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN to avoid accidental poisoning from swallowing. Avoid getting into eyes or on mocous membranes, and if excessive skin irritation developes, discontinue application. Contains no harmful drugs. Content: Menthol, Camphor and Menthyl Solicylate combined in a petrolatum base. FOR TEMPORARY RELIEF OF MINOR CONGESTION AND IRRITATION: Apply to the edge of nostril at the first sign of nasal discomfort. Repeat as often as necessary. FOR INHALATION: Place 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoonful in cup of boiling water and inhale vapor. Repeat as often as necessary. FOR MINOR MUSCULAR ACHES AND PAINS: First bathe with hot water. Rub on ointment well and cover with several layers of flannel. Repeat several times daily. FOR MINOR BURNS, INSECT BITES, ETC.: Apply liberally over affected area.
